BSD Congress
Our TVD Chair, Sue Scott Powell, and Communications Officer, Jeff Griffiths, were
among those who marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of the British Society
of Dowsers at its annual Congress in Cirencester. The weekend, which included a number
of special celebratory events, such as the launching of lighted Chinese lanterns
into the night sky on the Saturday (pictured) was voted an outstanding success by
those present. The conference's lead speakers included Professor Tom Darvill who
outlined his theory that the famous blue stones from the Prescelli hills in Wales
may have been brought to Stonehenge because of their reputation for having healing
powers. One of the seminar speakers during the weekend was Maggie Leadbeater whom
we shall look forward to welcoming at our meeting on 7th February.
