Water Dowsing at Brill 16th May 2010
A sizeable group of members enjoyed learning about the art of dowsing for water at
Brill near Aylesbury. After tuition from David Dixon, who very kindly and ably stepped
in at the eleventh hour to lead this session, we were able to practise these skills
in the moonscape-like surroundings of Brill Common. When the rain descended in the
afternoon, we retreated to the restored Windmill, the Environment Centre and the
pub where we’d lunched. David introduced us to a favoured dowsing implement, viz.
the double V shaped tool that he has used so successfully in the service of the Village
Water project in Zambia - see http://www.villagewater.org - about whose invaluable
work he spoke before our pub lunch.
